This Garmin Dakota 20 is rugged, palm-sized navigator combines touchscreen navigation, high-sensitivity GPS with HotFix™ satellite prediction, barometric altimeter, 3-axis electronic compass and microSD™ card slot in one affordable, power-packed punch.

Garmin Dakota 10 & 20 physically smaller than the iconic Garmin eTrex, Dakota boasts a much bigger color display thanks to the 2.6-inch glove-friendly touchscreen.  For me Garmin is the best product in the market. User friendly & more enjoyable when we use it. Happy GPS & Bye!

Safety First! Track Your Teenager Driver Using GPS System

Saturday, June 27th, 2009

From year to year more than 6,000 teenagers are killed is car crashed and 300,000 are injured by car accident. One of the solutions to solve these teenagers thing is using GPS system to track them.

Now parents can keep a watch on their teenagers driving from the comfort of their own home by checking real time statistics including vehicle speed and location. The system also allows for text messages to be sent to parents if the teen exceeds a pre-determined speed. The device, which is mounted under the dash of the vehicle, also gives parents the control of being able to lock or unlock doors, honk the horn, flash the headlights or even turn off the ignition.
With the ability to now be able to monitor your teenage driver so closely, parents can breathe a little easier when their kids leave home.

The best GPS applications For iPhone

Wednesday, June 24th, 2009

For iPhone fans out there! Everybody can try these applications. More fun with your iPhone GPS.

Graffitio
The app uses GPS technology to identify virtual walls close to your current location. You can then leave your mark on them for others to find.

Twinkle
An app that focuses more on the GPS element than Tweetie does. Like an internet chat-room circa 1995, and it has its fair share of weirdos. Good for a couple of hours, but probably best to steer clear.

GPS Tweet
A less simple-to-use Twitter app that gives you a menu, allows you to attach a photo to it, and Tweets your comment, along with a link to a Google Map with your location. A bit like sending a photo-text-message that tells people where you are. Cue lots of tourists Tweeting pictures of the Millennium wheel.

Aka-Aki
A sexier version of Twinkle that boasts a friendlier interface and a potentially less oddball community of users. Also more forward thinking – it allows you to update your Twitter feed while looking for people with similar interests nearby. You can also classify yourself with certain tags (interested in reading, watching films, the weather etc).

Happy GPS & Bye!.

iPhone With TomTom GPS

Wednesday, June 10th, 2009

For me iPhone & TomTom is the great combination. Is it true? The “TomTom for iPhone” sticks onto the inside of your car window and acts as a charging cradle for the iPhone. It also provides a nice, loud sound output for turn-by-turn instruction and also lets you dial hands-free.
